Meetings
The Wessex Blues normally meet once a month, on the second Thursday evening at 19:15, for meetings, quizzes and raffles etc. at the Royal British Legion in Ferndown. On some occasions we organise buffets and barbeques. Details of the next meeting date are shown below. The meetings normally last no longer than one hour.
Next season, we hope to arrange ex-players and/or trophy visits, ten pin bowling, a curry night and hopefully watch the greyhounds. Via Manchester City, as a branch we are also able to try and arrange match tickets for members for home, away, domestic cup and European games if the appropriate memberships are purchased and have a minimum of a Matchday Membership. As the demand for match tickets to away games and cup games varies depending on opposition, the Wessex Blues cannot also guarantee you a match ticket as the ticket allowance policy is dictated by Manchester City Football Club.
If you are a first timer to the Royal British Legion just ask at the bar (or anyone wearing a city top) to be introduced to Robbie Hawkins (Chairman) or Dr Richard Wild (General Secretary and Treasurer).
Non members are also welcome to attend our meetings. You will be able to meet with many other City die-hards where you can discuss the history of Manchester City. Hopefully you will enjoy our company and become a member of our branch.
