Wessex Blues FAQ

FAQ

Can I attend a meeting at the Wessex Blues as a non member?
Yes, anyone can attend our branch meetings, as long as you eat, breathe and bleed blue. We do not charge an entrance fee to attend our branch meetings. Just find a seat at the meeting and either listen to what others have to say or join in with the discussions. If you then wish to join our branch please speak to Dr Richard Wild (General Secretary and Treasurer).

How much does it cost to join the Wessex Blues?
Membership fees are displayed on this website under the membership tab.

How do I obtain tickets for Home and Away games etc.?

Dr Richard Wild organises and tries to obtain match tickets for the Wessex Blues branch. When match tickets become available for certain games, Richard normally sends out an email asking branch members if they would like him to try and obtain a match ticket for that game. Once known that tickets have been achieved for the branch, Richard will inform members and the club directly will request payment at a later date and your ticket will be allocated to your account. We are unable to guarantee match tickets for everyone, but we will do our best to help branch members to get to their selected game.

To order tickets through the branch you must be a paid up branch member and have a valid Matchday Membership (this must be obtained directly from MCFC) or a Seasoncard. Without these minimum requirements, MCFC will be unable to process any ticket for you and Dr Richard Wild will be unable to put in a request for you for a match ticket.

Anyone selling on tickets ordered through the branch will have their branch membership immediately terminated and will be reported to Manchester City, which will probably result in a ban via the Club. If any branch member is unable to go to a game where a ticket has been issued, please contact Dr Richard Wild and he will try to send the ticket back to MCFC and/or offer the ticket to a current branch member or to an alternative MCFC supporters branch.

Do you travel to Home and Away Matches in the UK?
Many of our members travel around the UK following Manchester City and many of these trips can be seen in our photo galleries.

We do organise and try to obtain match tickets for our branch members via MCFC who want to travel to these matches; however we do not organise to date travel to home and away fixtures and branch members currently organise their own travel arrangements to these games. If demand to a certain game is high however, then the branch may be able to arrange a mini-bus etc. for that game.

Do you travel to European Matches?
Many of our members travel around Europe following Manchester City and many of these trips can be seen in our photo galleries.

Like with Premiership, FA Cup, League Cup tickets etc....we do organise and try to obtain match tickets for our branch members via MCFC who want to travel to European matches; however we do not organise to date travel to European fixtures and branch members currently organise their own travel arrangements to these games.
